How do you spot a conscious fashionista? Seriously, it’s actually harder than a Where’s Wally book these days and this can only be a good thing. Increasingly, ethical clothing brands are putting style at the top of the agenda – at last – so we can now dress well and avoid fast fashion. #winwin
One of my favourite online retailers has now got their very own bricks ‘n’ mortar store but for a limited time only!
The Acey has popped-up in Shoreditch, East London until Tues 15th December so I stopped by to check it out. I don’t want them to leave!
I have been a fan of The Acey since they launched online, exactly one year ago (happy birthday!) – visit their site and you’ll see why: beautiful imagery, stylish, on-trend pieces all with a subtle message akin to “oh, by the way…. we’re sustainable/ethical/recycled etc…”.
“Style with purpose” is The Acey tag line and it’s evident in every piece.
Despite living in Chelsea, The Acey pop-up was surprisingly easy to find; only a short walk from Liverpool St or Old St tube stations. I was delighted to finally meet Holly, the owner and original #aceywoman, after already swapping messages over instagram. I may have geeked out at her a little….
Now if you’re thinking you could just stay in and browse their online store from the comfort of your bed, then yes…. you could…and that would be enjoyable. But a visit to the pop-up is a must if you can! It seems obvious, but to really appreciate just how awesome their carefully curated collection really is, you gotta see and feel it in the real world. Also, Holly has brought in some brands which are ONLY available in store, not online….just saying.
I couldn’t resist purchasing a pair of Tada & Toy silver stud earrings (which I had been lusting after online for about a month) and a silk top made in England (t’up North to be precise) by Stella + Alf (something that was actually on my list of “need” items for my wardrobe…. seriously, when does that ever happen?!).
Find The Acey pop up at 13 Calvert Ave, E2 7JP until Tuesday 15th December.
